CoastDrift is combining round 3 of our BC Drifting Championship Series with an import car show and live on-stage entertainment.

While final show details are still pending, we are hosting what is shaping up to be one of the biggest motorsports/import lifestyles events in BC this year. The event will include many attractions including: a stage featuring a live DJ, and various other live performances/attractions, a strong presence from local tuning shops around the province, models, car audio competition (pending), trophies in 22 show classes, and, of course, some of the hottest imports on the west coast on display along with some of BC's hottest drift action.

At this time, we are opening our early bird show registration. I highly recommend everyone to take advantage of this early bird pricing, as we are only offering a short 2 week period at this pricing level.

Date: Monday, August 3rd, BC Day. This event is on a statutory holiday.

Event Schedule:

Overall/public schedule
7-10: Load-in
10:30: Gates open
11-3: Primary car show component. Smaller stage acts. Various show/on-stage attractions.
3-4:30ish: Drifting Qualifying.
4:30-6: Announce car show winners/hand out trophies and prizes
6-7:30ish: Drifting Top 16
8-9: Headline stage performance.
9-10: Load-out [notes: for those traveling from Vancouver who need to leave in time for the last ferry, you may load out during the drifting top 16]

7 am: Show Vendor load-in
8:30 am: Show Competitor load-in
10:30 am: Gates open to public
4:30 pm: Car show trophy ceremony.
6-7pm: Load-out by special request (must be discussed in advance). We encourage all our participants to stay and enjoy the rest of the event. This is primarily for those who must catch a ferry/etc.
9pm: Load-out


Early Bird Registration Details
Show Car: $15
Car Club: $12/car (5 or more cars)
Vendor Booth: $40 (shops, magazines, etc.)

Deadline: July 12th

Vendors, this event will be aggressively promoted with a full on advertising campaign. This campaign will include a high repetition radio campaign, print advertisement, and geographically targeted online ads. We are expecting an excellent turn out and this is the perfect opportunity to get your name/product out in front of a large crowd. I highly recommend registering as EARLY as possible. High traffic/desirable vendor space will be on a first come first serve basis (except in the case of event sponsors).

I got a bad sunburn though 5 hours in the straight sun haha look at that tan haha

seriously? if this "KICKED ASS", I'd have hated to see the previous shows. not saying it was bad since this is the first time I've been to a drift competition, but I've seen more competitors at a VMSC slalom. a 12 or 13 car field with only four really good drivers makes for an "ok" competition, especially if I have to pay $20 to get in.

to be honest, I was expecting more and I was really hoping to see that sweet twin turbo'd Pantera do at least one run through the course... .

Well that was my first show that i have actually seen so......i guess that probably makes a world of difference haha
