Welcome back to BC J-Body.org!
We are a group of GM J-Body enthusiasts based in British
Columbia. Our website is dedicated to the modification and
maintenance of our General Motors J-Body cars, which
include the Chevrolet Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire, Sunbird
and J2000, Buick SkyHawk, Oldsmobile Firenza and Cadillac
Cimarron.
The BC J-Body Organization has been around in various forms
since 1998. It was originally started (by Mark I on
Vancouver Island and Mark P in the Lower Mainland) as an
off-shoot from the J-Body Organization (aka JBO,
www.j-body.org), with local events being the primary focus.
In the beginning, a Yahoo! Group was used to collaborate..
then our first forum began on EZboard. Then someone
registered BCJBODY.org and we set up a phpbb forum with
much assistance from Shane in the Interior.
Since that time, the original bcjbody.org domain name had
expired and was unfortunately bought out from under us. Two
new forums popped up at bcjbody.net and bcjbody.ca
respectively. Most BC J-body owners frequented both sites,
with a few who remained die-hard ".ca users" or ".net
users" and refused to visit the other forum, or were banned
from accessing it.
As the end of the J-body platform came around in 2005, we
all knew that something had to be done to accommodate the
people who were migrating to the new Delta architecture
(Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5/Pursuit). So, we turned BC
J-Body into BC GM Enthusiasts, and opened our doors to all
GM owners in British Columbia. Unfortunately, the
popularity of BCGME.ca never took off, and after two years
of running under the BCGME name we've decided to return to
our roots - back to the original BCJBODY.ORG!
Our forums will be switching from BCGME.CA to BCJBODY.ORG
in the coming days... so be sure to update your links!
Our forum software will be updated from phpbb 2 to phpbb 3
shortly, and will be getting a fresh look soon (with some
good ol' BC J-Body logos!)... so stay tuned!
